Our Story

Bake Up was founded by Kim Gonzalez in 2014 and started as a cottage food bakery in Acton, CA.

Bake Up continues to be a woman-owned and operated bakery, serving communities all around northern Los Angeles County.

Bake Up’s specialty is scratch-made pastries made with quality ingredients sourced from small farms in Southern California. Each pastry tastes like the high quality ingredients used to make it, without sacrificing satisfying flavors and sweet goodness.

Our treats are made with locally-sourced and milled whole grain flour alongside organic unbleached all-purpose flour and farm-direct seasonal produce.

We are famous for our pop tarts, cookies, coffee cakes, granola, and marshmallows. Our mission is to be a bridge of connection to the quality and flavor of beloved sweet treats made with intentionally sourced ingredients.

We’d love to meet you in person on Saturdays at our booth at the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market, 8:30am-1:00pm.

You can find a rotating variety of Bake Up treats at Sagebrush Cafe in Quartz Hill, both Santa Clarita Bodhi Leaf Coffee Bars, Eat Real Cafe and Wide Eye Lounge in Santa Clarita, and at Bloom Ranch and The Rustic Mercantile in Acton.
